My name is Martha Blair Heymann and I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology specializing in grief. As a Professional Grief Coach, and then as a Certified End of Life Doula, I founded my private practice, Together Forward, in 2018.

I have been an advocate of the dying conversation since the death of my late husband in 1993. I was soon drawn to becoming a certified Lay Chaplain for a children’s hospital, which evolved into training as a Grief Coach years later, and not long afterward, as an End of Life Doula with INELDA (International End of Life Doula Association).

I am a death educator, facilitator of Death Over Dinner Game Nights, writer, bad but enthusiastic ceramic artist, and hold dear music by Fleetwood Mac, Seales & Crofts, Nanci Griffith, and Carly Simon. I also believe shoes should be outlawed.
